Turkey Sloppy Joes

Turkey Sloppy Joes are a favorite for a group get together or a regular weekend lunch.  It’s warm and satisfying. Adjust the seasonings to your tastes.  I like mine spicy.

Ingredients

    tomato sauce

Brown the ground turkey in a 8 quart pot or dutch oven. Mince it up into small pieces as it cooks. Add the diced onion and continue to cook until onion is tender. Add the minced garlic and cook about another minute.

Combine all the spices in a separate dish and add to the cooked turkey. Stir to cook the flavors out about 2 minutes.

Add the tomato sauce and bring the mixture up to a simmer. Put a lid on it and cook on low heat for about an hour. You can move this to a crock pot and cook if you want to serve it as a party dish.
