Essence (Emeril’s Creole Seasoning)

Another recipe I got from Emeril Lagasse.  I have many dishes in my kitchen that I use this for so I just mix up a batch and store it in a glass jar.  I buy the granulated onion and garlic when I can because the humidity can cause the spice mix to clump when using the powders.  If you mix clumps up just mix it up to break it back up or send it through a sieve.

2.5tbsp paprikasweet or hot
2tbsp kosher salt
2tbsp garlic granules or powder
1tbsp ground black pepper
1tbsp onion granules or powder
1tbsp cayenne pepperground
1tbsp dried leaf oregano
1tbsp dried thyme

Combine all ingredients thoroughly and store in an airtight jar or container.
